What will you find in this tour?

Immerse yourself in the culture of this country on a tour specially designed for it: we will go through the emblematic Rua das Flores to reach the beautiful Ribeira, and we will cross the iconic Luis I Bridge to get into Vila Nova de Gaia, where we will taste three Port wines together with some of the culinary delights from Portugal as we enjoy a fado concert by a professional fadista.

In our Portuguese Culture tour, we will talk about everything that refers to the culture of the Portuguese country, from its art, its music and its tiles, to its idiosyncrasies and stereotypes, discovering what the people of Porto think of themselves and the rest of the country. We will also learn about the traditional trades and crafts, as well as the deep relationship of the Portuguese with their country: its rivers, its fields, and the sea. Thus, we will see the traces that centuries of seafaring, mercantile, exploring and fishing traditions left in Porto, in the Douro and in Gaia.

As a climax to our visit, we will stop talking about the Portuguese culture to start experiencing it for ourselves. We will taste some Porto’s wine, savouring its different styles; we will enjoy its gastronomy, savouring the wide variety of cheese offered by the different regions of Portugal; and we will admire and overwhelm ourselves with an authentic and touching fado, which will transmit all the strength, melancholy and sausade of Portugal.
