At least, if you are a foreigner
Perhaps it may seem that the title of this article is an exaggeration, but I assure you that it’s not, or at least it’s not an exaggeration of ours. It’s said by InterNations company, that is dedicated to advice people who get packed to live in other countries, other than their own. InterNations has conducted a study with more than 13000 respondents, who were asked about how happy were they in their new country, how they have adapted, and if they made new friends there.
Thirteen thousand are not few respondents, which means we can say, scientifically, that Portugal is the country that best hosts foreigners. And what are the factors that make Portugal such a wonderful country? Well, among them are the beach, the culture, the prices, but above all, the friendliness of the people. And the Portuguese make everything easy: if they see you lost, they approach you and try to help; if you ask them for a place to eat, they will accompany you to the door of their favourite restaurant; and if they listen you talking in english, they won’t let you practice portuguese, because they will try to speak to you in english, to make you understand them.

That is one of the main reasons why 1·2·Tours started its adventure in Oporto, and we can already say that we agree with this study. We have lived in different European countries, and we took something of each one of them, but this is the first place that receives us, and wants to become a home for us.
