Jardim do Morro. Privileged environment

The Jardim do Morro, also called as “The Hill Garden”, was opened in 1927, being a privileged viewpoint in Porto. The environment, as attractive to the locals as to the visitor, has recently been recovered.

Across the Luís I bridge, and at the end of a small avenue, a few meters from Monastery of Serra do Pilar you’ll see a small and peaceful semi-circular garden with palm trees garden, that invites you to take a break and enjoy the landscape and the amazing panoramic view.

But that’s not all. In the afternoons, taking advantage of the good weather, and especially on weekends, it’s usual to enjoy live music and to see some street food stalls, so it’s an ideal place to disconnect for a while, and the visitor has also a bar and restaurant services.

A lake, a grotto and strategically placed stone benches give an even greater charm to Jardim do Morro. It has also a wide variety of fauna, including 22 lined tilias that already constitute a typical image.
