Carnival in Lisbon: where to go?
The parades and light and colour performances of the Lisbon Carnival take place through the streets and neighbourhoods or parishes of the city.
The big party is usually focused on two different places. In the city centre, with the Praça do Comércio as the main stage. But, above all, it is the Bairro Alto that offers the most attraction, being the most crowded place.
Another important location is the Parque das Nações, which will be the central point and the highlight of the parades and costume contests on Carnival Tuesday. It takes place during the main day of the party.
